I grew up at the time the store was still thriving and we hung out at Medusas to listen to the current Wax Trax lineup. Miss this place and that time.

I have such fond memories of taking the train into Chicago and walking up to wax trax and the Belmont area. Finding old punk records and new wax trax releases. Getting posters and freebies from Frank or Chris and buying skin graft comics like happy pig or the butt biscuit comic :) Thanks so much for the memories and glad you guys are back, so happy to get the new raygun album!!

Wax Trax! is the Motown of the 1990s. I say this as a resident of the Metro Detroit area. The Wax Trax! storefront is the equivalent of Hitsville USA. It should be treated with the respect and dignity of a location that has brought so many great bands and so much music to the world. I ask that you please preserve this location with a historic marker. Thank you.

Wax Trax, both the store and the record label launched in that building, played a significant role in the Chicago music scene, and has become legendary world wide. It's appropriate that the building be designated a landmark.

The music released on the Wax Trax! label has been a very important part of my life, and it would be amazing to view the original storefront as the historic landmark it is. When I think of Chicago, I think of only two things: deep-dish pizza and Wax Trax! Records!

Wax Trax! is an iconic label that changed the face of music, and the storefront where it began deserves to be recognized as part of that.
