From 1983 to 1987 I was a regular customer at the store. It was the primary place in Chicago to find the best music, get info on shows and to make friends. It was a very important part of my life and the lives of many other people and as such, it certainly deserves some special recognition.

My father brought me here for the first time when I was about 14. I bought my first Cure album at Wax Trax, followed by some Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 and an Anne Clark 12” as I got older. I think this place was a refuge for young people like myself. Let’s protect it.
