It was an amazing part of the Chicago music scene and I think we need a tribute site to acknowledge Chicago’s place in the form of this genre. Creating a touchpoint could be a draw, a shrine, a museum of Chicago music history which was influential way beyond the Midwest.

Wax Trax was a special place. So many memories shopping there and finding the coolest stuff. Kenny Vaughn, guitarist with Marty Stuart, lived upstairs when he was in a band from Denver called the Jonny Boy 3.

This building and business it held was as instrumental to my upbringing, philosophy and ethics.
My Mother had the Biograph growing up and she always joked I had Wax-Trax. I think this place was very important to the history of Chicago.
