This proposed development is unacceptable and would be detrimental to the residents of the local area due to increases in traffic on an already very busy junction. The height of the proposed building is also of concern as this is not in keeping with the surroundings and should be built on more appropriate disused land in the city such as Dumballs Road behind Central Station.

Would look awful, The traffic there is already horrible I cant imagine people wanting to live next to a train station, Bus station and busy roads heading into the centre of the city.

Seven storey building totally out of place with surrounding buildings, the extra traffic on St Fagans Road from new housing sites has already increased pollution and road congestion without additional vehicles and buses on a busy and dangerous road junction.

Interesting to see an article in WalesOnline highlighting plans / budgets for future projects in Cardiff including a plans to "explore" options for a new recycling centre in the north of the city with an overall cost estimated at £3.3m. How ridiculous when there was a perfectly acceptable one at Waungron road which the Council closed and another example of the waste of "our" money by the Council.

I strongly oppose this development. It is ill thought out, and will almost certainly be problematic in many ways if it goes ahead. A 7 storey building would not only be an eyesore, but will infringe on the privacy of those living nearby, many of whom have had planning applications for 2 storey extensions on the basis that they are not in keeping with the area and/or would cause privacy issues. The traffic implications on an already ridiculously busy junction, along with the existing housing developments towards st fagans/pentrebane fairwater will put huge pressure on the local area, causing even more traffic issues and therefore more pollution. The ‘temporary’ accommodation gives sparse details but I sincerely hope (but doubt) that thought has been given to the schools nearby- and again the safety issues arising from more traffic so near to several schools.

I'm signing this petition, as I would like to see better use of this land space (i.e. the recycling centre to be reinstated).

I oppose the plans on the basis that congestion will increase drastically in the area which is not good for the environment and residents. A better use of the site would be to re-open the re-cycling centre.

Concerns regarding increased congestion and safety. Space could be better used for city infrastructure.

Totally inappropriate for a high storey block! The council need to liaise and listen and take into account the views of local residents

Building houses on this relatively small site will have an adverse effect on the already bad parking problems and increased traffic in the area! I guess whoever is behind this “development” isn’t going to listen to anyone who’s opposed to it though....

Needs more consultation with local homeowners. Parking issues and height of development make the current plan a poor one.

So many reasons to oppose this plan. Little consultation with residents in surrounding area Increased pollution Noise pollution Traffic congestion Ugly high rise buildings that will negatively change landscape Local services like schools and GP practices overwhelmed to accommodate increasing local population

More deadly air pollution, road chaos, unacceptable tower block, total madness. I oppose this on too many levels!

The air quality for this area will be horrendous with a bus station with idling buses. It would be a good idea to check it now as there is already heavy traffic around the junction and dual carriageway.

And there have been numerous serious road accidents at this junction - this crazy proposal will create many more. Wake up Cardiff Council !!!
