The development is too ambitious for the site. In rush hour this area is already in gridlock. So retail space would encourage more traffic. And with buses added into the mix it would be intolerable. And seven storeys seems just too high. I believe that my garden would be overlooked on Western Avenue.

This junction is far too busy as it is, getting out of Fairwater at peak times is a nightmare, traffic tailbacks up to Doyle Ave all with cars running their engines, obviously not great for the air quality in this area for residents! Very bad idea adding a bus station with them running their engines as well, crazy!

Terrible idea, taking away a large light area...there's too much traffic already in and out of Fairwater and this would have a huge impact on mine and many other residents commute!

I object to this really poor scheme. I understand the need for social housing but the existing infrastructure cannot accommodate 50 new flats. The site is too small and a 7 storey development here is not in-keeping with the area. If you look along the building from Waun-Gron road it will look a monstrosity and completely out of place. I feel sorry for the house owner in that vicinity and they shouldn’t have this forced upon them. The bus station element will be useful but there has not really been much effort to connect to the train station - Lots of pedestrian movement across road junctions. The road junction is already too busy. There will be queues of traffic and buses having to block off oncoming traffic just to cross the road! Far too many holes in the Air Quality report - It assumes there will be substantially less traffic because of the bus terminal. Very unlikely and certainly not something to base your assumptions upon. Similarly, it does not consider the future additional buses dropping off (and waiting with the engines running) which will worsen the air quality. From a safety perspective, I think the bus stop side of the building will be hidden from sight and I suspect teenagers etc will congregate here leading to anti-social behavior. I wouldn’t feel safe leaving my family travel to/from the stop at night which defeats the point of it a little. In terms of the building, because the developers are clearly trying to fit too much in, the plan area is taken up by plant and circulation space! A waste of space unfortunately. Balconies over the busy Western Avenue?! Scrap these residential plans and consider a low rise (2-3 storey max) community space and enterprise hub for start-up businesses. Keep the bus station but improve design a bit to link better with train station. Small retail spaces beneath (plenty of footfall from the transport links) and some good clever landscaping (maybe even a community garden chucked in!) will bring a great community feel.

The planned accommodation is too large for the area and the building will have a negative impact on an already busy through road where traffic has increased significantly already due to building of houses on llantrisant road.

Trying to get out of Fairwater from St Fagans Road onto the A48 can take a very long time during rush hour. With the bus station and the 50+ flats it would likely become gridlocked at the junction.

This will just increase congestion & pollution and yet they want private residential accomodation amongst all this. Return to recycling centre now to reduce fly tipping and save locals travelling 6 to 10 miles (round trip) further to recycle their rubbish
