Bus terminus YES.. & re-instate recycling centre (which is very much missed and needed. More blocks of flats - definite NO. There are loads of so-called student flats that were built in central Cardiff and Cathays/Roath area that have been left empty since they were built.... So why build even more???

A seven story building on this site would be akin to the grotesque Monty Python foot stamping down hard with venom on the once would be contented community. Nothing of anything this size has existed here previously, so the erection of a seven story soviet style ‘’bloc’’ beggars belief.
The notion that all the planned residents would be non car owners is either naive or deceitful. Given the immediate geography there is also a potential for 50+ cars likely to be parked on Fairwater Grove West/ East, (not exactly good urban planning.)
All in all a development that would cast a very dark shadow across the communities of Llandaf and Fairwater.

This was a site that was used regularly by lots of people, now we have a rise in fly tipping, we need this site back urgently!

As a Fairwater Grove resident, I am concerned that the new development will create even more traffic on an already busy road. Also, the height on the proposed block of flats is not in keeping with the surrounding area.

An over development of a site with poor access. A seven storey building would dwarf anything in West Cardiff and the lack of parking is already an issue for residents of Fairwater and Canton surrounding it. As for the train facility I feel that Cardiff Council have not wanted cars in the city for thirty years, The service has to be a success before resident will use it at present it is not.

There are far better spaces in cardiff for a bus hub. A transport hub should occupy a space with the opportunity for park and ride, whether that onward form of transport be a bus or a train. This site certainly doesn’t offer that opportunity. As for the train option, Waungron park offers a tiny station, where will these ‘new’ routes go? If they are only going back into the city then why get off the bus to take a train? The site simply doesn’t have enough space for a block of flats and a bus hub. It states 8 buses an hour - with buses already running along Waungron Rd and St Fagans Rd, is there a necessity for them to pull into a ‘bus hub’?
As for a 7 story block of flats, there is nothing of this height, it will be completely out of character for this area of the city. Consideration should be made to lower the height and expand the area for the flats into the proposed bus hub and ensure that there is space for ample parking.

This development will be a nightmare for local residents. The traffic on st fagans road is already horrendous. I’m all for rehabilitation and and housing for homeless but the reality is that crime will go up and to put ex offenders so near the schools I think is a very poor choice.

This junction is already extremly busy. Fairwater is a cut through for people coming to Cardiff from valleys. It is worse now with all of the new building that has tsken place on Llantrisant Road. If this development goes ahead it will be total chaos.

I’m not opposed to housing here but 50 flats is too many especially to fit in parking and with Waugron rd/Western Avenue crossing already backed up in the mornings. Please reconsider your plans. I would also like some consideration to the environment.

Traffic is horrendous, getting in and out of Fairwater is a nightmare and worse when there is flooding in St Fagans ( people divert through Fairwater and the traffic is so bad you can’t even join St Fagans Rd from Gorse Place). More housing at this site will cause even more traffic. A park and ride would be more appropriate, then people could use the train.
