Lack of parking will severely impact the area, where parking spaces are already at a premium. A good idea would be to have a recycling centre, where you don’t have to book a slot and you’re not limited by the number of visits per annum. Closing the recycling centre for an inappropriate housing development is not progress and completely out of touch with the needs and wants of the people.

Dear all please be aware Cardiff council had granted this application and said the final decision will now be with assembly members - they did this on the 21st December - and said ag locals could have attended no one would have been available that close to Christmas! None of us even knew - if this is to be stopped now we need to appeal to assembly ministers who have the ‘final day’ apparently on the matter. No one opposes development but it needs to be sensible!

This is a very busy junction and will cause further traffic congestion and poor air quality for the immediate local residents and the residents of St Fagans Road where traffic chaos already exists.

Not having the opportunity to petition the NRW development putting our homes at risk of flooding, I am happy to support this petition to stop another development that is not needed. If the council want to build flats let them buy some land from the mill development. Oh wait they wont do that as the mill is exclusive and they dont want council riff raff living near. After all they are putting our homes at risk of flooding to stop any flood damage to the mill development

The proposal is staggeringly disproportionate relative to the size of the site and its planning context. It is a hideous over-development.
If a private developer proposed this, it wouldn’t have got passed pre-app because it is contrary to every design related planning policy in the LDP and SPG's. It’s only because the Council owns the site that it is being driven forward and very obvious that the flats and shops are enabling development for the transport hub – and that alone will create carnage and gridlock. It’s almost as if the residents of Fairwater and Llandaff are disenfranchised due to the wards not being represented by Labour Councillors. Not a single resident in the west of Cardiff that I've spoken to thinks this is a sensible proposition.

1) To what degree has the landfill waste site ground been tested and will the occurrence of contaminated land negatively effect the proposed construction and development at the site? Are there limitations regarding safety when building on waste sites? eg: Radon, Methane, Cadmium etc?
2)The proposed building proportions are extreme. Why are the plans allowing for excessive accommodation in a small area? The height of the buildings is disproportionate to the entire surrounding neighbourhood. Furthermore, what are the success rates for business survival located under blocks of flats? Post pandemic statistics regarding retail sector do not support an additional need for shops. There are sufficient shops already within the neighbourhood that already need the support of the local community. Will the new retail units negatively impact existing shops and what benefits will they deliver to the local residents and public at large?
3) The height of the building is excessive . The majority of residential dwellings do not exceed two storeys in this area of Cardiff. The proposed block of flats does not align well with existing buildings in the area, both in proportion and design.
4) The height of the buildings will negatively impact surrounding residential streets. The plans for a development of this scale affects the right to light and right to privacy - in particular; Davies Place.
4) Please advise the nearest proposed height of this building to another within a 1.5 mile radius?
5) Please explain the need for a roof terrace in the design?
6) In regards to the proposed bus interchange, what measures have been put in place to reduce increased noise pollution and vehicle emissions pollution? Furthermore, the proposed rotation of 8-10 busses per hour will increase road congestion, please advise how this will be of benefit to the surrounding residents and neighbourhoods?

I live in Finchley Road, the traffic is a nightmare now and it is only going to get worse with cars coming from Llantrisant and Radyr area. Also there is no where to park. The site would be better used as it was previously. The plans are ridiculous for this area.

I have lived in this area all my life, spent 10yrs in fairwater grove it is impossible to get out of that street at present. St Fagans road and the junction is gridlock during peak hours as it is, how can the council Justify this build it will cause parking chaos in the surrounding area, extra pollution from already a busy western avenue and increase the risks for road traffic accidents and pedestrians will be vulnerable. This just should bot be passed.
