Waungron Bus Interchange-Development

Mal administration by our council . Years of waste by closing the recycling facility.

This development is totally inappropriate for the location and needs a comprehensive re-think. What alternative options do you have to offer ...the Counil can't just foist this upon the area as a 'done deal' it needs a proper public consultation with workable alternatives.

The development is out of keeping with surrounding area.There is no need for a bus interchange.

This should be returned to its former use. It’s not surprising there is so much fly tipping in the area. It’s disgraceful…I feel very sorry for people living in the immediate vicinity.

How can planning approve an over-development - 7 storeys high, well above roof heights of neighbouring houses. Cardiff is supposed to be leading city in recycling waste - this site should be returned to its former use, which benefit local community.

The junction is really busy now. I'd prefer the recycling centre to reopen. That was wonderful. Or a park as others have suggested.

I strongly object to this poorly thought out redevelopment of this site. From its size and intended use it truly is monstrous and completely out of keeping with properties in the surrounding areas. The negative implications for traffic, pedestrians and residents have not been fully considered. Traffic is already woeful here and with the additional inevitable increase of road users from west Cardiff where the LDP house building programme is in full swing, the result will be gridlock all day. There is significant new housing being built in very close proximity to this site why on earth cram more here? Why not encourage train and other public transport users with a dedicated parking facility perhaps? A community facility - parkland / green space to make up for what's being lost and neglected in the rest of Fairwater. I strongly object.

Proposed development is too big, there’s enough traffic around there already

I object to this development as a bust at ion is not required and also it’s not in keeping with the current areas building

This will cause mayhem traffic wise and will not help the local people In any way. We have plenty of buses and more people and cars are not in anyway better for the environment like they are proposing. I live on a street around the corner from the old dump and honestly the dump would be much more efficient and useful for the locals. The roads around the area are busy traffic wise and horrendous to park. I had to park around the corner from my house the other week because there was no space on my road now and that’s without all the new cars, buses and people.

Another stupid development. Understand no car parking. They say local area can support additional cars. Be realistic. Understand council have already spent £600k plus on the site

The proposed development will cause an impact on an already busy area causing more congestion especially at peak times where traffic is already an absolute nightmare. It will also put pressure on parking in the surrounding streets where residents already struggle to park outside or near their homes not to mention the noise & pollution that the bus terminal will bring.

We need the return of the refuse base. Too much traffic to be added to a very congested area!

I strongly oppose this development. It is not in keeping with the local area, indeed planning has been refused for 2 storey extensions on the grounds that they would affect the privacy of neighbours. Traffic in this location is already an issue, as is parking. It is also in close proximity to several schools

Building is to large for the site congestion is bad enough now and with the new school at cantonian as well it would be dreadful with a large environmental impact too with fumes

This is no needed on this space

Completely out of character for the area, high rise modern building in a low rise Edwardian area. Increased traffic and congestion, short term occupancy with no commitment to the local people or area.

The proposed development is out of character with all other development in the neighbourhood. The bus interchange mixed with residential accomodation is poorly thought out and dangerous on an already busy junction.
