Wattpad finally listened and added the LGBTQ genre tag we demanded. It is a massive victory for our community that they could no longer ignore our pressure. Keep tagging your stories because we are watching to ensure they don't backtrack.
Wattpad executives keep ignoring our community but hitting 100 signatures will force them to pay attention. Get this link onto your socials right now so we can stop being invisible.

As an LGBTQ+ writer I believe books with LGBTQ+ themes deserve they're own section to be found easier by readers as they deserve as much credit as sci-fi,romance novels, etc

I think that the LGBTQ community on wattpad is huge and deserves to be recognized, I request this in a respectful way. Please do this, as an LGBTQ writer on wattpad it would mean a lot. Love wins! Thanks!

Coming from someone who is gay ( me ) I think it would be better to have this as a genre then constantly having to search for them mind you that takes me hours

Every public and school library, as well as all larger book stores list LGBTI as a genre. Failure to do so can easily be construed as being homophobic.

I never really noticed that their wasn't a lgbt category until someone pointed it out. And now I realized how I always had to type in boyxboy or lesbian in the search bar to get the story I want to read. And now that I know of this problem I thinks unfair and unreasonable. So a lgbt category would be great to add. Thank you!

I just want to say this is an amazing thing you are trying to accomplish. I may be a female who is only into guys but I still support this. Anyone should be able to write, talk, or express what they want about it on wattpad or anywhere else. It might even help others. I hope I helped some. Good luck!
