So after almost ten years online, I think it would be a cool idea to have something like YouTube has VidCon. This would be a cool place for us up and coming writers to meet our readers, attend panels, and meet cool people from around the world. I often find myself wanting to go to VidCon and wish there was a Wattpad section.
Wattpad is often declared the "YouTube of ebooks" and I think it's time to grow the community and meet the readers. I personally want to meet as many of my readers as I can, so if you're with me, join the petition :D

Watching this list grow reminds me of the nights I spent writing in my room hoping someone would read my words. We are nearly at our thousand signature goal and I need you to pass this link to your writing circles right now so we can finally prove that our community deserves a convention of its own.

I have been reading through your messages about which authors you hope to meet in person. It is incredible to see how many of you want to turn these digital connections into real conversations at a convention.

I would love this to be a reality! The only issue I can see is how the writer will get to the event (as in compensation for plane tickets or transport as it could possibly be very expensive for writers who are not paid by ad-revenue by wattpad)
Yes YES YES! We need a wattpad con that would be epic to meet these wonderful writers and to have that sort of connection would be awesome! This would strengthen the writing society and help out lots of young writers become more confident.
I'm a fellow writer in the Wattpad community and I think it would be an awesome idea to have a Wattpad convention! Many of my readers have told me they wished they could see me in person and ask me questions face-to-face, and I'd love for that dream to come true!
I love the idea for this. The only problem is that I'm a thirteen year old girl in the Philippines. Parents around the world would insist that this is just a waste of money. I hope you would think it through.
Hello, @trinnyisnotonfire here and I totally agree with this idea; I'm glad someone's taking a stand. Question: would it be divided into the genres(FanFiction, romance, etc.)? Like, so we know which author is where?
As the author of, Colourless, I completely agree and would love to meet my readers!! This seems like a pretty awesome idea, one that I have discussed with other authors on the platform.

I've been on wattpad for over 3 years and had over 100k reads on all my stories combined. I'd of course have to save some $$ to go since I'm a broke college kid, but I'd love to mean authors I adore and maybe people who have read my stories! I support Wattpad Convention!!
