I would love this to be a reality! The only issue I can see is how the writer will get to the event (as in compensation for plane tickets or transport as it could possibly be very expensive for writers who are not paid by ad-revenue by wattpad)

Yes YES YES! We need a wattpad con that would be epic to meet these wonderful writers and to have that sort of connection would be awesome! This would strengthen the writing society and help out lots of young writers become more confident.

A wattpad convention would be so cool. I think we should have one. Just imagine, a ton of authors meeting up in one place, sharing their stories, teaching better writing techniques, cover making, book selling, book readings, and the start of collaborations between great authors. Wattpad convention = more awesome stories = more popularity for Wattpad = more reads on stories = more publications of Wattpad stories
