If we can use this lake to our advantage we can build this town and give the kids something to do.

Updates

August 23, 2019

I have been spent the last few afternoons down by the lake watching the kids play in the dirt because there is literally nothing else for them to do here. Talking to my neighbors has confirmed that we all feel the same frustration about this wasted space. I am currently working on a proposal to show the town board exactly how a slide could transform our summer.

August 23, 2019

Seeing this much energy behind the idea of turning our lake into something special brings me back to all those summers I spent wishing we had a place like this for our own kids. It feels like the town is finally waking up to the potential right in our backyard.

Get er done ... the area needs something like this . We need a place for the youth to hang out and build memories . We have nothing for them especially now that the skating rink is gone.

In anticipation of the coming summer season, groups and families want to plan ahead to schedule fun-filled summer events. We'd like to invite your family or group to join us for a day of cool water-splashing excitement. Tawakoni Lake is a 15 plus acre park is nestled on the shores of Lake Tawakoni the best swimming ever. The sandy bottom. The lake is clean and safe for your swimming enjoyment. Bring in your own picnic meal or grab a tasty snack at our food and beverage stand. We cater to churches, schools, youth groups, and families -- anyone who wants to enjoy a good day of clean fun. To make your outing even safer, Tawakoni does not allow beer or alcoholic beverages in the park. And, for your safety, a complete staff of certified lifeguards is on duty at all times.
