Please do not allow a homeless shelter in our neighborhood. This will certainly hurt our property values. This town cannot afford this when so much is happening to build up Peekskill!!!!

A different location should be found, closer to services like downtown or by the hospital. A residential neighborhood is not appropriate. Where will the homeless go when turned away or during the day, so far from downtown? The shelter makes about 100 police calls a year. We chose to live in this neighborhood (vs downtown) because we want peace and quiet. This will make it so no one will want to live here and will threaten the livelihood of adjacent businesses. The entire neighborhood is being sacrificed when there are other locations available that are more suitable - downtown and/or by services like the hospital.

CHHOP has proven to be untrustworthy, unwilling to work with the community and nontransparent. They can not tell us how they are properly vetting the homeless that use their services, they can not tell us where the people that are turned away go and they can not own up to the fact that they've had over 100 police calls to their current location. CHHOP needs to wake up and realize this is not the right location for their project. Why would you want to put already vulnerable people in a community where they aren't wanted or welcome.
