Many homeless people do not themselves like shelters because they are too violent and crime prone.

This just doesn't belong in a residential area! End of story! Why would anyone possibly think this location is a good idea?

I have alreay signed the pettition, but I just wanted evryone to know that I have not changed my views... I stand with all of my neighbors.... DO NOT RELOCATE YOUR PROGRAM TO 851 WASHINGTON ST. Just because your wife has the cabability to suit my needs... doesn't mean that I have the right to just move in and take up residence.

Peekskill has had open arms for many of years at the existing shelter, perhaps another local municipality would like to step up and join in! Cortlandt? Croton? Anyone else out there? Time to pass the torch.

This proposed homeless shelter does not belong in a residential community!

I’ve worked helping the homeless in NYC Parks for 29 years. This is a bad idea to place a shelter in this location. Our compassion for those who find themselves homeless can be better served in an alternative location, or at the present location using the funds to restore it!

The community has enough to worry about. There is no place for a shelter to be dead smack in the middle of family's .

I own this property and am very concerned of this shelter coming only a few blocks away.

As a real estate investor I own a wonderful 4 Family house just a few blocks from this new proposed shelter location I am very concerned if the shelter is to come so close to my property. I also own another property about a mile away. I would sell both properties as this would only lower my real statue investment price of the properties

I am concerned about the placement of a homeless shelter in the midst of a residential community with no real outlet for the residents when they are forced to leave every morning at 6 am.

After Years of recession and foreclosures finally Peekskill is coming back to life. If you thought that your property started to worth more say good buy because no one will want to buy it and move in with a shelter next door This is an attack on us our families our community and on our hard worked money invested in our nest egg.

I own a business but I sympathize with the residents in Peekskill. I wouldn't want a homeless shelter in my neighborhood, especially since most of the homeless are not even Peekskill residents no matter how much they claim that they are! The town should have discussed with the community prior to purchasing the property. Sounds very shifty to me!!
