As George Washington is my ancestor and I'm a Chatleston Co resident, I am appalled at this Council’s behavior towards him. I am proud of my heritage and my ancestor IS the Founding Father of our Nation. With a conservative majority, this resolution needs no thoughts, pontification or planning. Pass the George Washington resolution now. How indifferent of you all, since Charlestom is the only southern city named in grants celebrating America’s birth. Our parks will be honoring America and our Founders. What a game it is if our own County Council, made up of a “supposed” majority of Conservatives, ignores him. What a shame! I'll remember this at the polls.

It is a say day in America with the lack of respect that a Founding Father of the United States is pushed aside based on woke ideology. The risk and sacrifices George Washington made to create America are far greater than today's generations putting their pretend feelings over facts.

I support Mr. Kobrovsky's resolution. Those of you who refused to adopt this resolution are no better than that spineless Tecklenberg. Adopting this resolution is a sign of Love for our country. If you don't stand up for what is right, you will fall for anything. Remember elections are coming.
