My name is Warren Paxton Brown.
I am an inmate A192474 at Southeastern Correctional Complex in Lancaster Ohio. I am serving year 28 of a 20 to life sentence for the 1986 aggravated murder of 13 year old Robyn Star Fields.
Unlike a lot of inmates serving time I am not here to proclaim my innocence. I committed this crime, I take complete responsibility for it and I know that there is nothing I can do that will bring Robyn back.
I have had almost thirty years to look back on the 15 year old boy who committed this crime, and decades to try and forgive myself and understand why I did what I did. I am 43 now and wish I could go back and talk to the troubled boy who committed this crime.
I created this website to publicly take responsibility for my crime to make it clear that I am sincerely remorseful for my actions.
There is nothing I can do to undo what I have done. I had to decide to make the most of myself that I could in prison, try to forgive myself, to love others and be a worthy person.

I am truly overwhelmed by the response to this request for a second chance. It is humbling to see people choose to look at my journey beyond the worst mistake of my life and I am deeply grateful for this sudden momentum.

You beat a child to death. Not shot or stabbed but beat her to death. Also, you throw waste at prison guards as well as exposing yourself. You belong in there. Society doesn't want you. Trust me.
I believe people need a second chance,it’s disgusting what you did to that young beautiful girl and if it was my daughter I’d never want you let out, but I believe at 15 you was just a child who was clearly messed up
I have just watched an episode by EWU Crime Storytime about you and Robyn's death. You may feel remorse, but I don't think her family deserve to know you are free when they are haunted by your actions. Time is a healer, but Robyn will never get any time back. I am sorry, however you should not be free until her family says so.
Perhaps if you could explain exactly you are remorseful for? Why did you go to her house? Did you enjoy watching the life drain out of her eyes? How did that feel to have her in the trunk of your aunt's car while you told her mom you were going out to look for her. How about that for a start.
Well, I was Robyn' s childhood friend and new Paxton as he lived in my neighborhood, this evil man does not deserve freedom ever again!!! No empathy for him, he didn't give any to Robyn. crazy thinking he should get a second chance, why so he could kill someone else.

I don't believe someone should be punished their whole life for a mistake they made in the past. I am signing this petition for the release of Paxton Brown who has done enough time and deserves a second chance.
