Want to sleep in longer?
Hello I'm Jennifer Amezquita. Alonzo Barrameda, Xavier Torres, Janisa Rojo and I are trying to get NMHS to start school at a later time. Many NMHS students are athletes and aren't home until late, then they still have homework. We aren't getting enough sleep if we're getting up at 5 a.m. to go to school and get there by 6:45. Our brains don't function clearly this early. A lot of students are tired and out of it in our first period class. I think if we start school at a later time it might help with kids being tardy. I think it will also help students get better grades because they'll have more energy.
