I don't reside in Washington, but I reside on this planet that I am grateful for providing me earth and natural resources to live life with. This project is like the ungrateful child that takes and takes from its mother until she has nothing left to give, but yet we still rob her of whatever is left. I don't want our mother to die, I want to give back and nurture her. We are the adults, it is now our responsibility.

We own a cabin on Marshall lake and would like to continue to enjoy our lake and the surrounding area without dangerous chemicals in the air.

I don't want this in my area at all. I have never before protested any growth, but this is over the top and needs to be located somewhere else. There is a old aluminum plant in Spokane count that would be perfect.

My well water and my property creek water would likely be adversely affected by this and the health of my friends and neighbors would be, as well. This must be stopped. Our lives and communities deserve better!

I don't want this in my area. Canadians are looking to build in this area because their environmental restrictions won't allow it. Don't let them ruin our environment.

we have been going to the priest lake area for more than 30 years now in the summer and winter months. As a family we are very concerned with the environmental impact the smelter would have on the natural environment. Having kids with respiratory problems we have always enjoyed the fresh, pollutant free air of this region.

Pens Oreille county and our citizens love living here with the clean fresh air and healthy living, if this project goes through it will destroy this living. Please do not build this in our county

I can't believe anyone would be for this smelter! Follow the "money" to find out who wants to push this thru..and all the deals that have been made without any of the town's people knowing ...It was all done in Secret...I'm sure !

Moved here for the natural beauty and community specifically to retire. We are retired so the job market was not a factor...but there are plenty of jobs available. The smelter is a very, very bad choice and we will move if it comes to Newport.
