we will stop this completely! This is inconceivable that the county would allow this to get this far. What county officials are in favor of this?

It is time to stop destroying a rural way of life in favor of corporate industrialization and greed. We need more healthy rural spaces, not less.

I am very much against the Hi Test silicon smelter proposed for Pend Oreille County. The quality of life, the clean water and clean air are all at risk. Please stop this.

It makes no sense to allow A silicon smelter anywhere near or upwind from populations in either Washington or Idaho.

We just purchased property south of Newport. I am a Washington native and the last thing I want is a smelter near my residence polluting the air. They are a Canadian company so build the smelter in Canada.

' suggest a location in Canada---perhaps in the Trail, B.C. area.

I live a few miles from the proposed site of the smelter. The smelter will pollute the land, water, and air and ruin the natural beauty of eastern WA State. We do NOT want it here!

I Have a home in Newport because of its then clean environment. Since then we have endured multiple unavoidable smoke issues. I do not want anymore air quality problems that the Hi Test plant will emit.

No one wants the pollution of this pristine nature area....and remember that includes noise pollution, light pollution as well as air, water and soil pollution. This is not the way to improve the economics of the area!!
Hell no. We don’t want a smelter in our area.
Keep our country clean. Period.
