I would like to see a food waste collection in Wandsworth, which would drastically reduce quantities of waste and contribute to the ecosystem. I would also like to see Wandsworth council prioritising recycling to increase the ludicrous low rate of 22%.

Please make it clearer to both residents of Wandsworth and the refuse collectors what we need to do

I totally agree with this. However I asked for recycling bags which were promised for delivery a week ago and have never arrived. The council has to help us to recycle too.

Manufacturers could help considerably by not putting fruit and vegetables in plastic trays, then covering them in cellophane. Using local markets reduces plastic use and should be encouraged.

I think a weekly food waste disposal system for Wandsworth residents will encourage more recycling.

It’s rather sad that the rubbish will only be collected if it’s lutside the bins, on the pavement, where the bags will be ripped, than when they are in the black bin I bought. This method is so outdated. Get one communal large bin where we deposit the reciclying , no need whatsoever to go to each house one by one, not effective.

Please do this! We take it upon ourselves to recycle our food waste, but not every is able to do this in urban areas.

Clothes and shoes recycling facilities please - useful for homeless? They used to have clothes and shoe banks in Battersea Park, but no more :(

Many people do not bother to sort their rubbish - more emphasis should be put on them to do so.

the streets are always full of rubbish such as recycling items we never have enough bags and its just incredible in a city like London to collect once a week

The council could do so much more recycling, we take our foil and food containers to another borough where they DO recycle them. Why are we lagging behind?

We should be doing all we can to minimise the amount of waste going to landfill. The world is in crisis and overun with plastic. It is shocking how low the recycling rates are in this borough and we should be doing MUCH more about it. There is no excuse for burying our heads in the sand!!

Every person in Wandsworth can make a lasting difference, but we need to council to commit resources and time into making recycling a higher priority

Common! Wandsworth Council can and should do better than that! The planet cannot take any more rubbish.

It is imperative that recycling is sorted out. We all need to take it more seriously. Wandsworth Council please do your bit.

I would love our recycling to include tin foil and aluminium containers.

Recycling sacks must change from plastic to something plant based and biodegradable. More campaigning and encouragement by Wandsworth Council needed to get people to reduce their household rubbish. I am all for fortnightly rubbish collections.
