Wandsworth Council, there are no excuses for this shockingly low recycling level. ‘The Brighter Borough’ must lift its recycling game to justify this claim. It could start by learning the Five Rs - Refuse, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle, Rot.

Sorting out a food waste recycling system is easy peasy and MUST be put in place.

Take a walk around Wandsworth on rubbish collection days and you will be disgusted at the sheer amount of food and household rubbish strewn across the pavements. - I'm in favour of wheelie bins for all rubbish

It's disgraceful. Wandsworth needs to start looking wider at the desperate state of the planet as well as improving wha goes on in its patch. Food recycling is a must, as well as improving what we already do.

I had no idea! There is no excuse for this in 2019.

No recycling wheelie bins, no rubbish wheelie bins, frequently no recycling sacks delivered, rubbish not collected unless in plastic sacks (not supplied by council). Worst borough in UK!

Really shocking.

From my own experience, living in a private block, there seems to be no encouragement for items to be recycled other than providing a bin. It is probably the same in all of the current and increasing number of new build High Rise flats across the borough. It would good if the recycling center at Smugglers Way could give regular talks around the borough and spoke to the community about recycling.

Disgraceful that a Borough like Wandsworth lags so far behind other boroughs.

Time for the Council to take responsibility and get this sorted.

I support this petition. I would also like to suggest that used cooking oil could be collected at a central point. In some countries eg Spain it is collected at certain supermarkets.
