Wandsworth Council's 6th worst recycling rate must improve

I’ve lived in Wandsworth for 6 years and I think more efforts should be made to recycle more, like they do in Croydon

Why do need a petition. This should be a basic function of a local council.

We need to be leaders not laggards in recycling

The council's priorities are out of touch with modern issues - we need massive action on recycling and climate change now!

Recycling is a must. It is easy to upgrade the success within our borough with so many ways available. It is embarrassing to be in the 6th worst borough !!

Just 22% of waste being recycle is not enough. That's why I support this petition

Get better Wandsworth!

Targeting food waste is so important. So many boroughs provide food waste collection facilities, it's about time Wandsworth introduced them too!

I am Kindly asking Wandsworth Council to provide recycling bins at every house in Wandsworth.

I hate how much we waste here – and it turns out it's even more than I thought. We have to do better.

Wandsworth could be so much better at recycling, why can’t we lead the field instead of lagging behind in the doldrums. We are in the midst of an environmental emergency and recycling our household waste is a primary step!

Would be great to know what actually happens to all the stuff we sort and put into those orange bags. Organised trips to recycling plants would be interesting.

A separate recycling bin would be useful. Recycling currently left our in clear bags which can often be torn into by foxes. Because we didn’t have a green and brown bin like in other areas, I had assumed for months there wasn’t recycling collections in Wandsworth at all.

Anybody with a diesel car will not be able to use the recycling centre post 2021 without paying the surcharge as inside the South Circular. Will just encourage fly tipping!

I would welcome a scheme whereby food waste is collected - composted and then offered to residents for pickup from municipal sites.
