Wandsworth Council has millions of pounds invested in companies complicit in Israel’s genocidal occupation of Palestine.
Companies including BAE Systems, Alphabet, Mitsubishi and Chevron profit from the sale of arms, financial services and surveillance technology that allow Israel to maintain its illegal occupation and apartheid system. Some of these investments are in the Council’s Treasury.
Human Rights Watch, announcing its 2025 Report said, “Israeli authorities deliberately deprived civilians of food, water and other objects necessary for survival in Gaza, comprising atrocity crimes, acts of genocide, and mounting evidence of genocidal intent”.
Amnesty International’s 2022 report, Israel’s Apartheid against Palestinians, documents a system of racist oppression.
Wandsworth Council claims its investment policy is responsible and ethical.
We totally oppose the Council investing in companies that aid Israeli genocide and apartheid and demand that the Council end all such investments. We call for a debate on the issues raised in this petition at a full Council meeting.

Wandsworth needs to do better. End the investments.
My council tax should not be funding this. Absolutely shameful.
The council claims to be ethical while supporting these companies? Give us a break. Divest now.
About time we actually looked into what our pensions and council funds are tied up in. Totally unacceptable.
