I've started this petition for the obvious reason to get an indoor skate park built for Walsall town center. In 2006/2007 our beloved WS2 skate park was knocked down for unknown reasons to myself and this had a huge impact of the skating community, we have since had outdoor skate parks built such as Leamore, Walsall wood, Mavericks and more but with the unstable weather of this country these places are deemed unfit for the purpose they were built for. We have an extremely limited offer of indoor parks in the area to which are quite far to travel and for our younger generation it is simply impossible for them to travel to or in area's that are unsafe to even walk to without the fears of muggings or in some circumstances even a knife a attack. The past has proven that having an indoor skate park in Walsall has benefited the council as it significantly reduced the damage to public property around the town and reduced the number of kids hanging around the streets getting up to god knows what.
