YESSIR! i was one who was wearing the pride flags and got dresscoded today. i was told it was "political," but against the dress code, where it wasn't even in the dress code. we, my friends and i are trying to retaliate against the trump supporters, who were harassing us for this, and we were called slurs. its not right that we can get attacked for who we are but they won't since they are homophobic, racist pieces of poo. biden 2020, they wont keep us silent

So the general story is that kids are able to wear trump flags but not pride flags? like why? Trump flags are worse than pride flags. Not just because of who Trump is, but in the way of advertising your political beliefs, Isn't that a thing your NOT suppose to do in school. The expression of identity is not giving away your political beliefs. It's not offensive, it's just putting yourself out there, and in a school full of rednecks and good ole' boys that's hard, trust me I know. It's crazy, I get it if you say "its a distraction" I understand that because a lot of pride flags are bright and color full just like the people that fly them, but if you say "its a distraction" to someone with a pride flag, realize the context of what your saying and also say that to the kid carrying a trump flag, that makes no sense if you don't. anyway, that's my pov on the situation as a former student

This is ridiculous. When I went to Walhalla, I saw plenty of trump merch and confederate flags on the back of some vehicles in the student parking lot. This is not offensive, it is a symbol of pride and hope. It is oppressive to the LGBTQ community to not be able to wear them.
