As of this Friday my earnings drop to £0 as my children need me as full time childcare and given 90% of patients have cancelled this seems the only decision. Please credit those of us who paid fees in full at the time of our renewal.

I've had to stop work, so have no income. £59 a month is going to be a huge amount to spend out of a budget of £0

Please freeze fees whilst we are being responsible and not working

I’m very disappointed with the lack of advice or assistance during this time. Certainly don’t feel like £69 per month is a fair amount for what we actually receive on the best of months, let alone when osteos are not able to earn or know what to do at this time

I find it incredulous that in a time of uncertainty such as this, a council should surely council rather than be lazily directed by government or be partitioned by its members. Otherwise it’s presence is neither required nor necessary. The majority of its members are self employed and struggling already, assistance is required. Freeze fees and help all osteopaths now.

Unacceptable behaviour on the part of this council. Too insecure to take independent action without government say so. Osteopaths will not be working during lockdown so fees should be suspended until back to work. Common sense stuff.

This would be so helpful to any of us facing a forced closure and unknown income likelihood, so please consider it!

I have already seen a significant drop in patient numbers and soon not know how to pay my monthly bills.

I couldn’t agree more. As a recent graduate I have had considerable expenses since qualifying and setting up my practice and since the COVID-19 virus outbreak I have really been struggling financially as naturally patient numbers have fallen significantly. Any help in supporting osteopaths during this difficult period and times of uncertainty would be greatly appreciated.

If we have to stop working, we need to pay no fees to enable the chance for us to return.

It is absolutely dismal that GOSC have taken so long to release a statement and the only reiterated government guidelines we already had. Nothing specific to Osteopaths has been addressed. How is this public safety?

I have to family isolate now as my son has a cough, when 14days are up the schools are closed so no childcare for both my children. The school are sending out lessons that they expect to take 6hours per day to mimic school Time table so I have no idea how I can earn enough money to cover basics so a freeze in fees would help enormously.
