The Wag is a Middletown, NJ, USA based original band (don't worry, we can do lots of covers, too, including the Moodies!). We've been together for over 16 years. Two of our members have been on the 2 previous Moody Blues cruises, & on the last one, even got to play with some other musicians - including Moodies drummer Gordy Marshall! - in one of the lounges, on 3 of the nights of the cruise. Whereas the previous year they scheduled karaoke, this time they also left blank time for random musicians to get up & play.

That did it. What we want more than anything is to be booked to play on Moodies Cruise 2016. Although Susan at Moody Blues Cruises has done her best to help us, it's pretty much impossible for a local band such as ourselves to get booked for something like this. All we're asking in return for being booked to play on the cruise is room & board for the 4 of us. We don't even care if all 4 of us are together in one room!

Why not just get together like we did on the last cruise, you might ask? Well, there are a few reasons. For one, we're starving artists, & the 2 of us who went on the last 2 cruises could hardly afford it... we certainly can't afford another. And for the other 2 band members, while they like the Moodies well enough, we can't ask them to take time off from work & pay a great deal of money to be able to hopefully play one or two nights in a lounge (especially when that wouldn't be guaranteed). Not to mention, we would need to bring our own instruments this time. We need a few guaranteed gigs in one or more of the lounges.

To sum up: The Wag really would like to entertain you when the Moodies aren't playing! :-) We ask to be booked to play a few real gigs on board, & all we ask for in return is that our cabin be paid for by whoever pays the other bands' wages.

If you'd like to help out a darned good local band, & make this girl's dream come true, please sign. And thank you. <3

Besides being a great group of musicians who's style would be a perfect fit with this cruise, The Wag are dedicated fans of The Moody Blues. I can't think of any other act I know who would appreciate this opportunity on as many levels as would The Wag.

I'd love to see The Wag play this event. I host a talkback radio show in New Zealand & had the pleasure of interviewing Alicia from The Wag during one of my shows. I really enjoyed their music also. As already stated I'm very happy to support seeing them play on the Moddy Blues Cruise

Unlike some of the bands on previous cruises, The Wag consists of the original members and writes and plays their own material. The are inovative and talented. The Wag would be a welcome addition of the next cruise.

The wag is a fun and awesome band, being in a band and playing shows with the wag, we know first hand that they are good family fun and can appease the masses.

The Wag is a well-seasoned, professional band that deserves this opportunity. The band has a very large Moody Blues fan following and we'd all be overjoyed to have The Wag featured on the cruise as a bona fide act!

Forget the fact that Alicia Van Sant absolutely loves the Moody Blues. The Wag shows are high energy, and lots of fun. Tight harmonies. Great chemistry. And they are people you are glad to know. I highly recommend them.
