Rename Booker High VPA Theater The Roland W. Rogers VPA Theater
In the rebuilding of Booker High School, there is no building on the campus named for the man who spent many years building the old Booker High campus. The building that had his name on it was torn down with no notification of former students or residents in the community surrounding the school. We think it's a disgrace for the school to move ahead without acknowledging the man who put most of his life making Booker High the great school that it was - before integration. BHS was the first black school in the state of Florida to become accredited. It was done with Mr. Roger's leadership. Let us not forget!! Please sign the petition below and it will be presented to the School Board. Thank you for your participation and support. GO TORNADOES!! Booker High School Class of 1964
