We petition the El Paso County (Colorado) Board of County Commissioners to place on the November 2011 ballot a measure to allow voters to vote on extending the present number of terms for county commissioners from two terms to three terms in a manner that rescinds the recently passed measure to allow three terms.
We further petition that the ballot wording in this measure be clear and state to voters this is an increase in the number of four year terms a commissioner is allowed to serve.
The level of public engagement regarding this ballot measure has exceeded my initial expectations. This momentum indicates a clear desire among residents to revisit the decision on commissioner term limits.

Why do they keep trying to change the rules just to suit themselves? Leave it alone.

Ridiculous. TERM LIMITS ARE THERE FOR A REASON. Keep it at two terms.
