As an emergency Green Light Responder and a member of the Islands Police Service this will have a huge negative affect for the island! More pressure on Police having to enforce new rules and unable to to provide life saving care as quick and efficiently as a green light responder. Not to mention the environmental factors on fuel usage at slower average speeds

This is ludicrous. I am particularly fed up with a process that just doesn’t take into account the wishes of the people. Road sign bought before in theory a decision has been made! It says it all.

A group of 5 deputies should not be permitted to make wholesale changes to speed limit zones without the States Assembly being able to vote on it.

I do not agree that 35 mph top speed limit needs to be reduced, what needs to be sorted out is the massive speeds that some people operate on roads such as Route de Bordeaux, especially when the douzaines say there is no propblem here, they should live here and experience it. Jumping red lights too need to be sorted first, also when children come out of schools about 3pm think they are joined by umbilical cords as several will drive through filter in turn especially at the half way crossing. They do not seem to think that filter in turn refers to a group of mopeds .

Leave our speed limits alone, they have been the same for years why change them now! If something isn’t broken you can’t fix it so leave it be :)
