Will the bullying of motorists continue by E&I once we all have electric cars?

Ridiculous idea. Is it for safety or is it for the introduction of speed cameras?

You asked we responded, 55% said no!!! But you went ahead anyway. This is NOT the way democracy is supposed to work. GO NOW and close the door behind you.

35mph is a maximum speed limit. Any responsible driver will be driving at a speed appropriate for the conditions they find. Anyone who doesn't do this is unlikely to be influenced in a reduction of the speed limit. How is this going to be enforced for cyclists without speedometers'?

E&I's repeated refusal to heed the wishes of the public is outrageous. We appear to have a group of deputies who are overly-invested in their own hobby horse policies, rather than representing the electorate, & should never have been allowed onto the committee in the first place. The power-crazed behaviour of this group of individuals is unacceptable, they must be replaced with representatives who understand & respect their duty to listen to the people of Guernsey. We have a referendum on IWV today but what we really need is change in the States, to stop Deputies from running Committees as their own, personal fiefdoms.

Ludicrous I think they sit in their offices and wonder what will I do to upset the public today

Since 1948 the improvements in car design & safety justifies the increase in speed limits on certain roads not decreases. It should be remembered that most cars are designed to be most efficient at 56 MPH

Deputies are supposed to act in the interests of their community. these deputies have broken faith and are acting in their own perverse interests.
