Taxes are high enough already! They should be prudent with Tax Payor dollars!

The irony is, as much as our family loves the library! The future tax burdens are the very things that could reason enough force us out of our beloved HB!

The library has turned itself into a quasi Day Care center for the middle school age teens. This is nuts

I pay such high taxes, I don't feel compelled to add more taxes to my tax bill

No transparency same as before increased tax load which will only be compounded with other bond issues over the next 30 years

We need to invest on after school programs for our kids specially teens. The library is very nice as it is. With the cost of living on the East End most households have two working parents with no after school options.

I think the library should be doing fund raisers for non essential renovation, not adding to the tax payers burden.

The library now is great. Discontinue some classes and activities that do not belong in a library. There are other town venues for these classes and activities to be held.

Why introduce a 9.9 million bond referendum without plans to show the community? What exactly is on the table? What are we voting for?

How did they arrive at this 10 million dollar figure? Where is the detailed breakdown of the cost for this project? Share the word with your friends!!!

I am being taxed out of my beloved Hampton Bays community. Renovations seem in order but 10million??? I received my first correspondence regarding this bond on 2.22.17. Have there been informational meetings regarding this new referendum? The vote should be put on hold as the date is suspect..... March 14th? Many residents who own homes in Hampton Bays as their primary residence (tax burdened already) won't be included unless they fill out an absentee ballot which is also suspect. There are more pressing issues in our community.

I have 3 children in the schools, none of which use the library ever. Everything they need for research etc..., they find on the internet or school library. As a family, we just don't have a need for this local resource. This is becoming a community center but still being called a library. I can't, in good conscience, agree with this bond request. I also think it's rather sneaky doing it with such short notice for many and during a time of year when many locals are vacationing etc... Was this planned purposely?
