The most pressing need - additional and safer parking, could be more frugally addressed by purchasing the adjoining house and constructing suitable parking areas, driveways and landscaping, which would appear feasible for well under $1,000,000. That is a level of expense appropriate for a 13,600 resident town whose residents have already paid several million dollars for an earlier library expansion and renovation quite recently – in 2003.
The financial burden to the residents, of repaying a $9,900,000 (plus 30 years interest) bond, is simply out of proportion to the stated benefits.

They haven't offered they full spectrum of options they originally put forth. They need the community input not to increase the burden on the already overburdened taxpayer .

Were over taxed and the dumping ground for Southampton Hampton and liberal politicians and policies.
