Vote No - Sigwalt Apartments, 11 Variances Too Many

I have a huge concern over the amount of units proposed. As mentioned in many comments, there are already so many rental options, now this would add 80 more apartments? Also, the low-income aspect is concerning. I want my kids to feel safe in our neighborhood. That is why we live here. Vote No to this and provide a better solution such as single family homes or green space.

We do not agree that this project fits the needs of the AH residents and further believe the design is not appropriate for the neighborhood. The largest impact on the community will be the low income housing aspect. The residents are not being fully informed on what impact this has in our schools and neighborhoods.

Special treatment should not be granted for short term gratification. That’s what most politicians engage in. Compromise the future for short term results. It’s pathetic.

I am for building across the street but why not do a project that meets code? The rules and codes were put in place for a reason. So inflexible for the project for the other half of the property but this developer can get whatever they want for max profit? That’s wrong and horrible City planning. Vote out these trustees then if they have no consideration for those of us that were pioneers in Dtah starting almost 20 years ago now.

Town homes or more single family homes would fit better in that area!

Too many apartment buildings in Arlington Heights already. Townhomes would be preferred.

Would like to see the land developed, but prefer townhouses or condos. Also, very large variance that other properties are unable to receive.

I agree something needs to be done with this land, but not over priced apartments that would receive a larger variance than every other property in the neighborhood.

Make the project fits the zoning regulations that exist, or wait for a builder and project that will.

Too big for that lot, especially with it being so close to single family homes. Town/Row homes would be much better.

Please do not build this monstrosity, and poor quality building. Smalet multi family structures are more in line with the vibe in that area. I lived in a brownstone building at 193 S Evergreen Ave for 5 years. Many many times I was asked by people walking by if there were any units for sale. We easily sold it when we transitioned back to single family!

RE-design so it meets the guidelines

It appears the developer is spending ad money to promote their counter petition while making it look like it is just a resident doing so. I do not think this is good business practice and am now strongly doubtful of the integrity of this developer.

This building is an eyesore, excessive and breaking rules of building codes. AH absolutely does not need anymore apartment building, we need more green space. Build a park instead.
