There has to be a better way to achieve the end goal here. Income taxes are already being paid on this money, and companies with affiliate programs will choose whichever path has the least resistance, which will likely result in discontinuing affiliate programs in the state.

I earn and pay my taxes on any money earned from affiliate links on my blog. I have manufactures that I've been designing for for years that count on my honest opinions of their products. My family depends on my income. Why would utah propose a law to disallow this?

As a Utah based blogger, this bill will hurt my business and my family. Please consider well the 10,000+ bloggers in Utah who's families depend on their work with affiliate marketing.
My job as a blogger is allowing me to stay home and raise my family plus be creatively fulfilled. Please don't take that away from me.

Every company that I have worked with in Utah including my own has been involved in affiliate marketing. I have been in the industry for 9 years. After working so hard to build my company, I can guarantee you that my company will be packing bags for CO if this passes.

I am part of an affiliate group marketing products for several small Mfg companies. To put a tax on something that is advertised in Utah but sold to all parts of the country is Big Brother snatching money from the pockets of hard working citizens that is not rightfully yours to take. You did not earn it nor did you participate in the production or distribution of any of the products therefor have no right to take any of the proceeds.
If this bill passes then Gov't truly over steps its bounds and will be taking money from those struggling to just survive.
Sounds a bit dramatic I understand, but it is frustrating to have every Gov't agency trying to grab whatever they can from hard working citizens instead of cutting back Gov't and reducing spending because they dont' have enough money to expand.
Cut the funding of some of these idiotic programs that do not help citizens.

I receive income from affiliate marketing programs. Passing this bill will cause these companies to drop affiliates in Utah, and will result in a direct reduction of my income.
