This law would be DEVASTATING to small (and large) bloggers! And it's actually a lose-lose situation for all! Here's why: Bloggers are able to provide so much free content because we advertise other products. We are not, however, selling them, so this has NOTHING to do with having a physical presence in the state. Utah won't even get those sales taxes they are wanting, because the companies will just cut ties with the bloggers. What happens next? The bloggers lose their income (do you REALLY want to take away income from families?!). What else does that mean? Utah will no longer be getting the income taxes from those incomes that were just taken away from 10,000 families across the state. VOTE NO PLEASE!! This is affecting my family (I do some affiliate marketing) and even more so for many of my friends.

This will ruin any bloggers and small businesses in Utah. You will not be making money from taxes- you will be losing money from all of the businesses that will be required to close

Too many issues with this bill. It is anti small business and will kill the home based business. Remember the small home based business affiliate spends their money here in Utah

As a Utah resident and an affiliate marketer in the state of Utah, I vehemently oppose Senate Bill 182 and House Bill 235 and ask our elected representatives, as a Utah citizen with a small business, to vote NO on these bills.
