Please DON'T let this pass. You are taking away money from our family if you do.

There has to be a better way that won't hurt these businesses.

It's unfair to the bloggers and will result in a higher unemployment for the state.

This is how my wife supports our family, which would really be a detriment to our income. Please don't allow this Bill to pass. Thanks, Trent Sandoval

I want to thank you for taking the time to read this email. My family is a military family that recently decided to stay in Utah after my husband’s 20 years of military service. I started my site four years ago as a way to make a little extra cash and stay home with our children, one who has disability. Four years ago we found out that our son has PDD-NOS which at the time it was classified on Autism spectrum. I home school our three children and write each night after they go to bed. This money is for local trips, our luxury items, things our family would just go without if I didn’t earn this extra money. There wouldn’t be trips to Eccles Dinosaur Park, This is the Place Heritage Park, Union Station, Black Island Farms, and other wonderful places this state has to offer. Our six old daughters wanting to attend the Dinosaur Park camp this summer, something that only possible because her mother is able to work from home.

I am a Utah blogger for quilting and sewing along for parents of special needs children. I am trying to make my online store and blog useful to those that need it. As a divorced mother of two special needs children I am trying to make a living to help my children. Life is extremely hard but it would be difficult to have legislation passed that would make making a living from a small online quilting fabric store and blog more challenging. I am trying to be self motivated to be independent and want to be successful for myself and my children. Please support those of us that are trying to be productive and independent while helping others.

This is a terrible bill. Government needs to get out of our lives and leave us alone.

A good long look needs to be taken at the effect similar laws have had in other states. This is a lose lose deal for everyone.

This is ridiculous. Yet more attacks on small business and the internet. Find another way to makeep tax money. Like on alcohol and cigarettes, or cut spending.

Please vote no! Mothers that work from home to supplement their husband's income do not need this bill to pass. Look at the evidence from other states and how well those people have "benefited" from it. Vote no!

This legislation is another flawed attempt to regulate Internet commerce by people who understand neither. Please don't let this pass.

Our daughter is a single stay-at-home mother whose income would severely be compromised if this bill goes through.

Only a non-business person could conceive this as good legislation. Not only will this not produce any tax revenue it will cost people their jobs and a ability to make a living. Mark my words this will have a negative effect on state tax revenues.

"I am a concerned Utah resident and/or an affiliate marketer in the state of Utah who vehemently opposes Senate Bill 182 and House Bill 235. I ask my elected representatives, as a Utah citizen, to vote NO on these bills."

As the state of Rhode Island has found, the proposed legislation does not increase revenue. In fact, the proposed legislation led to a decrease in sales tax revenue.
