is it possible to find out how much of the money that the state gets from the lottery as well as from the casinos/gaming as this process was originally sold to the public as money for education? is this money actually going to education?
This is another example of shifting the burden on to the people that already carry much of the burden in higher property taxes. To take one straight out of the liberal book of taking points make the City of Chicago "pay their fare share"!

I strongly oppose Senate Bill 16. As a real estate professional I believe this bill will have significant negative impacts on many property owners and will do little if anything to improve education. Property taxes in Illinois are already too high and are part of the reason we are lsoing residents and business to other states.

If this bill passes, it will be the last straw. We already have some of the highest property taxes in the state and to have that money go anywhere other than our children's school here in Kane county would be a crime. I chose to live where I do specifically for the great school system! I think I hear Scottsdale call my name!

My family and I may just pick up and leave the state if this bill passes! I pay way too much in taxes for my kids to go to a great school for that money to be taken away and given to other schools.
Enough is enough. Do with whay they have!
