My son is the third generation of my family to call Maplewood elementary his school why are we all of a sudden willing to throw traditions aside because of some upity snooty families want to move here and take over and change the where we can educate our children JUST LEAVE if you don't like how things are done here then leave it won't bother us one bit but leave things the way they are

I think it ridiculous that the whole point of option 3 is to keep friends together. We should be more concerned with academics and financial responsibility to the community than keeping a friend group together. Teach kids to make new friends.

Would cost to much to turn into a 5th and 6th grade. Would only be a temporary fix.Children should not have to be bused over to Whiteford Elementary for school. Teachers at Maplewood work as a team and care 100per cent about the children's education. Option #1 would be cheaper for the district and easier for the children to adjust to. Besides parent passed the levy in the fall if you need future levies passed Go with cheapest and best for the district. Tax payers don't want to see the money thrown away on a plan that is not well thought through.

It is important to take into close consideration the impact on the Maplewood families. There are long term decisions to be made that this does not consider and address with students' social well-being in mind (e.g. increasing the amount of transitions between schools that students will experience).
