I need to know how Sylvania schools paid the Sylvania mayor millions of dollars to build new schools in the last decade, which you would think would have addressed the issues of future community growth and future needs of students. Apparently, they did not think of these things when they built these expensive new schools. Why isn't anyone asking about this?

Please do not displace 450 students and over 100 teachers. Please do not split our district in half! One Sylvania! Option one!

The kids from Centennial Farms and other sub divisions on the north side of Sylvania have to ride the bus to Whiteford road is a ridiculous idea. This trip could be a half hour ride depending on traffic.
Typical school board lack of common sense.

I feel as if we are being told what to do and not given a choice because let's be real.....we don't have a choice. That's doesn't mean we can't try.... Let's get a lawyer!

We moved our young family to Sylvania - specifically for Maplewood Elementary and the amazing Teachers and Staff. We rented a home for 2 years to be part of the Maplewood Family. We have now purchased our Home to keep our Children in Maplewood.

1.feeder schools encourage bullies, harder for kids to move into our schools and be accepted. 2. Bus times for current Maplewood to Whiteford is unacceptable. 3. Cost for redoing Maplewood doesn't seem like a good use of school funds. 4. We lose our downtown elementary school - Sylvania is redeveloping the downtown which would bring in more young families but not if the elementary school is across town. 5. 4 school transitions during your K-12 is too much. Studies show fewer transitions lead to higher self esteem.

I disagree with option 3. You are forcing people that pay extremely high taxes to support the lower tax payers schools. Which is not right. We lose the value in our homes. It increased the travel time for children. So basically your force feeding to pay for the city's problems.

My primary concern is the cost to remodel a 6 year old/newer school. When other "older" schools within the system need more attention. Levy monies not being utilized for most benefit. Can the taxpayers expect another construction levy? If so poor long range planning!
