Must be more that can be done than just a petition?

Please put this thru . It has been several years now that council has been thinking about it. My family and other low income families could benefit from raising our own chickens.

Think this is a great idea as are front yard gardens.

So many other Canadian cities allow backyard chickens. Kelowna is an agricultural town- this makes no sense.

Everyone has a right to healthier food.

Urban chickens should be allowed in Kelowna. They are great for pest and weed control as well as great fertilizer and eggs. Not to mention they make the best pets.

Nobody should be denied the right to produce their own food, especially when said production isn't going to cause any more noise than a cat or dog would and can easily and humanely be kept in a small space.

Let us raise chickens!

I support backyard chickens.

Chickens are better than other pets ...and you get eggs, and meat if they aren't pets :)

I see nothing wrong with a few chickens in a person's yard, as long as it's kept clean

We had backyard chickens for years– they bring nothing but joy and wonderful benefits to families, gardens and neighbourhoods. Urban farming is the future.
