Any town that allows dogs the size of small elephants that create LOUD noise, should also allow a few hens (no roosters) as well.

My spouse has occasionally mentioned he'd like us to get chickens. I didn't realize we would not be allowed to have our own urban chickens. I fully support urban chickens.

Give people the right to feed their families and promote good health. Limit #s and rooster, if need be, but allow hens. I actually thought they were already allowed!

In an ager where people are having to choos ebetween housing and food, it only makes common sense to allow people to have chickens f

I totally agree anything that helps families put food on their table without so much cost, as eggs are getting too expensive.

As long as proper regulation is put in, we should be allowed to have a few. We had them growing up in a different city.

We all need to do more to insure that we are eating uncontaminated food from pesticides and other chemicals.A few chickens create no noise or problems if raised properly!

I support urban hens. We should be encouraging people to grow their own food. It would make us a more sustainable city overall.

I totally support having urban hens in Kelowna; they are a source of fresh eggs, great pets and can even be used as therapy pets for seniors.

I truly believe we should be able to have hens in Kelowna. They make great pets. I would even be willing to pay for a chicken license to have them.

I have been wanting to have a few hens for awhile now, so I hope that Kelowna makes changes so that this can happen. A healthy source of fresh eggs would be wonderful.

Urban gardens and farming are the way of the future! This policy needs to be updated, other cities & municipalities have already jumped on board. The promotion of a healthy urban farming lifestyle is the way of our future
