We're lucky to live in a place as beautiful as Kelowna, although our bylaws and city management are clearly behind the times! Urban gardening and farming is a human right that should not be mandated by pencil pushers at city hall. Feeding your family with fresh organic produce from your garden goes hand in hand with fresh eggs from urban hens! We have to stand up and push back on Kelowna's NO URBAN HENS policy. The policy is outdated and behind many other cities and municipalities (Kamloops, Victoria, and many more) that not only allow urban hens, but also promote urban farming as healthy and environmentally responsible.
