Please suspend allowing camp fires during the dry season. Not only is it a risk in spreading a fire, it affects air quality in our valley and thus the health of our residents

In addition to being a wildfire risk, campfires present a terrible local air quality issue.
Given our state's perilous permanent drought, it only makes sense to keep fire out of our forests.

I understand the moments a campfire can bring to a camp, but having campfires in our valley has always seemed at odds with the wildfire and especially the air quality consequences our valley faces. A collective C-L valley ban on campfires w/in the fire season will have a positive impact on 1. their business and 2. their neighbors and friends.

Current conditions render open fires unjustifiable. It is a judgement error to continue usual practices in highly unusual conditions.

Giving up campfires is a very small sacrifice that campers can make for the greater good and the urgent necessity to prevent wildfires. Campfires also harm air quality, which is horrendous already.

Bad air quality is a risk to the unhealthy. Fires are a risk to everybody. At this time of year we should take every step to avoid or eliminate the risk of fires.

With the unprecedented fire season we're experiencing here in California, and the "high season" just beginning, allowing open fires of any sort right now is incredibly irresponsible. Yes, campfires are nice to have, but they cannot outweigh the risk to neighboring lives and property right now.
