Same issue. 66k miles on 2015 Tiguan. Perfect maintenance record at dealer and p0299 popped up. $2800 to replace and my car is 2 months outside dealer warranty

2015 Tiguan with 66k miles. Bought certified pre owned at dealer. Perfect maintenance at the dealer on everything and p0299 error code popped up on obd2. My car is 3 months outside of the dealer warranty and quoted $2800 to fix the the turbo.

2012 owned less than 6 months and have already replaced both fuel pumps, cooling fans and now receiving P0299 error code and camshaft sensor error.

Turbo went at 74,000. $7,000 quote. Shameful. Need recall now.

Turbo failed at about 75,000. I feel VW should issue a recall but so soon after the emission scandal I don't this they will.

Same issue at 76k as well. I have a 2013 VW Tiguan SE that has been perfectly maintained by the dealership with all preventative maintenance completed to date. This is extremely disheartening to have this happen after just paying the dealership over $1,000 in preventative maintenance 4 months ago and barely driving the car at all (due to the pandemic) since then. I may never buy another VW after this again.

Having this same problem with my 2014 Tiguan. Diverter valve already replaced and it keeps throwing the same code.

I have a 2013 VW Tiguan. Purchased in July 2016 as a previously leased, one owner vehicle at 35k miles. At just over 55k miles, the turbo blew in July 2017 and was fortunately just barely covered under the CPO. Now today, June 2020, it is diagnosed again by a VW dealership with the same turbo issue at just over 101k miles. Hopefully VW does something about this issue.

Having the same issue and my Tiguan has been in the shop 9 times since October it’s now May. Went through the whole water pump issue now the turbo code keeps popping up over and over again.
It’s costing a fortune!! Very frustrating .
