There is an old adage, "Want something done, do it yourself." Larry Brown, I hope you execute your idea yourself! Local patrons are the ones who can more effectively act. Perhaps JMRL, who has chosen to not act so far, is counting on local timidity and apathy. Show you care by your actions.

The front lobby of the public library should be an all-ages-appropriate space, and the publicly-funded library should not allow itself to be co-opted by ideological actors as a platform for political advocacy.

Call in Charlottesville City Council and Albemarle County Board of Supervisors; now!

During my training as a physician I leaned about neurophysiology and our senses. A display with this content should not be on display in a Library where young children will see the graphic content at their eye level. The content is also very biased- not mentioning life long hazards of sexually transmitted diseases and dangers of IUD use and other items on display. Medical truths are often silenced by NOW and Planned Parenthood.

Please stop doing the liberals bidding for them without at least being fair and balanced to the other side. You are there to provide information NOT INDOCTRINATE us. The library has a real bias and seems to always make mistakes and error on the liberal side of the line.

Control access for the young---try to see this as at least as worthy of a rating system as that used in theaters.

very much opposed. I won't bring my children to that library branch now. There's no reason for that.

Inappropriate use of a public space. Not the kind of teaching moments I want to have with my kiddos upon entering a public library.

This display, aside from containing inappropriate material for and clearly directed towards the youngest patrons, is also biased and disrespectful of the wide spectrum of beliefs in our community. The library should not be promoting only one view of one of our nation's most hotly contested issues. If JMRL wanted to be truly open minded, there would be a display at least of embryologiç development next to this. Libraries should have information, yes, but not choose for its patrons on what they should value: our minds, our choice.

This display is shocking! What ever happened to discretion and prudence. Shame on the staff and board who agreed to this "in your face and inappropriate display." Where are the displays on love and good citizenship? I am in disbelief that our own library has such poor judgment. Where is this culture headed?

I am disgusted by this display and the fact that it was posted where young kids can see it. Completely inappropriate for a public library.

This display is insensitive to children and adults alike. Enough is enough. I f you have these issues, DEAL with them. These are not appropriate for display or overt "in your face" public discussion in a multiage public space. And I am no more better educated through my disgust of your poor judgement. Laura Wood.

I am shocked that such a display would be shown in a public place especially with young children around. Parents are the ones who should be leading their children in sexual education. And the way that the display ties in the catholic faith in some twisted manner is outrageous.
