NOTICE OF MEETING:
On Monday June 24, 2013, Commissioner Wayne Johnson will meet with the kids at Vista Grand Community Center. Please come around 4:30. He will arrive at 5PM!
Congratulations! We have collected 582 signatures have notified Bernalillo County and our County Commissioner, Wayne Johnson. They are impressed with the outcome!
With this public input we have shown strong support for a Skate Boarding Park at Vista Grande and are thus "on the radar" as funding becomes available. In addition, there was important input as to other possibilities - including bmx and parkour courses.
As things progress, we will keep people notified. There will be a lot we get to do in the future including design and construction!

The scale of this response has secured us a formal meeting with Commissioner Wayne Johnson. We are finalizing our proposal to present at the community center to ensure our specific requirements for the park design remain a priority.

YES PLEASE!! my son has been asking for a local park for years. way overdue.
The kids really need a safe place to skate. Too many people yelling at them for using the sidewalks. This would be a great use of space.

Include a bmx bowl too! Vista Grande needs something for the older kids to do instead of just hanging around the parking lot. Lets get it built.
