We, The Parents Of HCPS, Petition For Virtual Learning To Keep Our Children Safe!
Since Covid-19 Has Crossed America-- Most States Have Agreed That Virtual Learning Is The Best Option-- Which They Have Continued. Unfortunately, Harford County Has Seemed To Show Acts Of Normality. Harford County Has Stopped Virtual Learning Amongst Other Things; Like Wearing Masks!
Kick-Off To The New Year, 2022, The Number Of Covid-19 Cases & Deaths RISE More Each & Every Day Throughout Harford County, MD! We Have Fought To Keep Our Children Healthy & Away From The Spread.
However, This Fight Becomes More Difficult As Schools Continue To Stay Open, As Well As Parents Sending Their Children To School With Any Sign Of Illness.
**Remember-- The Covid-19 Vaccine Was Rushed & Pushed Across America Without Hesitation Of Pros/Cons! The Vaccine Was First Available To Adults... Some Children Lost Their Lives Before It Was Made Available To Them.
We Were The Ones Telling Our Children To "Goto School" (Regardless Of The Consequences)
Now-- It Has Become A Fearful Decision For Both Parents & Students To Continue Back After They Have Been Sick With Even The Slightest Cold.
[Tears In Her Eyes & Fear In Her Mind When She Became Ill The Day After Being Sent Home For A Close Contact Quarantine] - 9 Year Old Daughter
Having Many Children Sent Home Due To "Close-Contact" --
We Find It Necessary To Proceed With This Petition For Virtual Learning Before Further Damage Is Done To Our Student Population.
Citizens, **Understand-- The Vaccine Is NOT Preventing The Spread Of Covid-19. Nor Does It Prevent The Illness Of Variants; Delta Or Omicron.

virtual learning is a very helpful option for our children to keep them from spreading and catching covid... i dont agree we should be mandated to get the vaccine just because there are other variants now that may have come from covid mutating after the vaccine was generated. this world is a complete mess. our kids are the most important thing to us and they seem not to care. i am keeping my child home; they can call whomever they wish.

This Is A Difficult Issue. I Am Fearful Of Sending Her Back To School. However, I Also Feel Like If I Do Keep Her Home Too Much, They Will Have An Issue With That As Well.
