Hi everyone! My name is Vikram, and I humbly ask my fellow classmates for the honor to continue serving the single JD 3L class as Treasurer. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your class treasure this past academic year. I have enjoyed getting to know more members of our class and meeting many of you in person for the first time this year.

Although this year brought many unique opportunities and challenges with the mix of online, in-person, and hybrid learning, I leveraged my position as class treasurer to advocate for the class. I supported many funding requests that crossed both the executive treasurer board and the Board of Governors. I was also an active class officer during the Board of Governors meetings. I used my voice to provide feedback and suggestions to student proposals up for vote to help grow and shape the organizations and endeavors. Specifically, over the course of the year, I engaged in an extended dialogue during the BOG meetings regarding The Transnational Moot Competition, funding for a Sports Law Moot, and a Republican Student Organization proposal.

I am actively involved with the class and school community. While unfortunately, I could not attend many in-person events due to COVID 19, I have prioritized connecting with and staying in touch with other members of our class to pass along concerns about issues to other class officers or at the BOG meetings. I am also involved in the greater law school community, serving on Law Review and Moot Court, as well as a general member of the Outlaws and Women's Law Caucus.

Next year, ideas I could bring to the table as a class officer include helping to plan socials for our class, such as game night or nights out around popular spots in the Detroit Area. Ideas could also include events centered around our self-care as 3L, such as bringing in meditation or yoga instructors for large group classes. I would love to have the opportunity to continue to serve the class to blue sky more ideas. Thanks for your consideration!!
