Tell them Victor Decker deserves to be classified as an (In line of duty death)
Let us tell the committee's that oversee the in line of duty classification for the Federal and State Government that Victor Decker deserves to be classified as a in the line of duty death.
We need to let them know how the community and businesses feel about this issue. By signing this petition you are letting them know that we as citizens and tax payers want this done. There has been times through law enforcement history officers have died and not received in line of duty pay. We require them to be on duty 24/7 and sometimes they will get into situations (when off duty) that will never be totally understood (eg: no witnesses yet it looks like a in line of duty).When these times arise we must give the officer the benefit of the doubt as we rely on their honesty, integrity and protection. Please sign below so we can try to get him what he deserves and maybe change the criteria that is used to make these decisions.

I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and it makes me think maybe justice actually stands a chance. It feels like people finally see what I see about Victor and his dedication which is just so overwhelming to witness right now.

Once a cop always a cop. They are never really off duty. The committee needs to stop being so stingy and look at the facts.
Giving him the line of duty death classification is the least they can do for his family. Praying for justice.
This whole thing is a disgrace. Victor gave everything for this community. Change the rules now.
He died a hero and deserves the respect and benefits that come with that. Do the right thing for his family.
its so messed up that they wont give him this status. he put his life on the line every day. shame on the system
